Evi Shelvia loves sketching and drawing. She never leave home without a sketchbook. Evi makes picture books for children - she has illustrated up to 32 titles so far including some that she wrote herself. Her books have been published in the USA, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Some of them received awards such as Samsung Kidtime author award Singapore, 2nd best Malaysian children's picture book from Kota Buku Malaysia, and her first book became a hit 'Mover and Shaker' as best seller book in Amazon Books, USA

She facilitates workshops for children book's writer-illustrator and talks at Room To Read, Let's Read-Asia Foundation, Kota Buku Malaysia, KLTCC Malaysia, AFCC Singapore, SCBWI Society, Bookaroo - Kuching Malaysia and holding her own events as well.

What if we - for a moment - leave what we have learned and knew about sketching aside and just draw freely to our imagination, like a kid?

As someone who often has to see things from a child's eyes, Evi is in a good position to take you, both children and adults, to imagine things beyond facts and realities. Evi will push you to sketch and imagine freely.

Rather than brushing up your techniques, this workshop is an exercise to think differently beyond what you see with mere eyes.

Day 3, 19 September 2020. Afternoon

Workshop Level: any level could learn from this workshop. For adults and children 12 years or older.

Duration: 3 hours of talks and outdoor sketching followed by a discussion.

What to bring: your comfortable sketching tools, be it pen, pencil. crayon, marker or watercolor. Paper will be provided.
