Augustinus Madyana Putra



Augustinus Madyana Putra was born in Yogyakarta in August 1973. He graduated from the Department of Architecture, Gadjah Mada University in 1997 and works as a lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta since 1997. Sketching is a hobby to add to his architectural vocabulary. He actively designs buildings, and also actively participating in national and international painting exhibitions.

Augustinus' Workshop



Buildings, especially landmark buildings have a special power to mark and describe a place. Therefore authentically capturing landmarks in an effective manner is essential for sketchers.


In this workshop, I will share with you my way of working with proportion and highlights to capture the spirit of landmark buildings into sketches.

Day 2, 18 September 2020. Afternoon


Workshop Level: any level could learn from this workshop.


Duration: 3 hours comprising on-location demo, exercise, and discussion.


What to bring: Bring your own favorite tools - markers, pens, brush pens, watercolor, etc. Paper will be provided.
